The Anihan Website is an online resource center for research and advocacy on agrarian reform and rural development (ARRD). Named Anihan, which means harvest time in Filipino, the website very much depict harvest time, with the abundance of information drawn from the experiences and endeavors of peoples’ and nongovernment organizations, ARRD advocates and implementors.
What "ANIHAN" Means
ANIHAN is the Filipino term for harvest time, that time of the year when farmers reap the fruits of their toils.
This site aims to present farmers, students, researchers, social development workers and policy makers resources, issues, analyses and information regarding agrarian reform and rural development throughout the Philippines. It seeks to portray the struggles, victories and hopes of millions of men and women farmers, farmworkers and fishers as they claim their rights over land and water resources and make full sustainable use of these. The website also aims to provide a database as well as a chronicle of the struggles and initiatives of key advocates of agrarian reform and rural development in the Philippines.
