Parfund
Founded in 1992 The Philippine Agrarian Reform Foundation for National Development is a movement that dedicates itself to support the various programs initiated by nongovernmental organizations that are geared towards the promotion of agricultural and rural reform initiatives. Parfund is based in the Philippines and has its roots from the Philippine agrarian reform movement. Currently many members of this movement are now active participants within The Philippine Agrarian Reform Foundation for National Development.
Parfund is a non-profit organization dedicated to channel funds and resources in order to make sure agrarian reform and rural development programs have the necessary resources that support them. Parfund also assist in sustaining the actions of farmers in search of land that attempt to obtain this through the CARP program that was launched by the Philippine Government. Parfund further assists those that have obtained land through CARP, by educating them on how to manage the land efficiently, while simultaneously ensuring the participant’s family's well being. One way Parfund contributes to this is by providing education to their children.
Parfund promotes a society where the quality of life is enhanced through ownership of the land the farmers work on and for those that work for those farmers. Through this, Parfund attempts to gain equality and justice for all parties involved through democratic means and effective resource management, increasing production to a sustainable level.
Parfund actively promotes improvements on productivity through access to all necessary resources, required for successful sustainable farming. These activities must be up to par with current standards and be environmentally sound in order for future generations to prosper.
Parfund further promotes social developing through equality. All people must benefit equally regardless. In order for these goals to be reached, implementations of innovative programs are required that depend on a political environment that supports it.
